Privacy
BlindGM is operated by Velonox Labs, a business name of CG Breakdown Studios Inc. Privacy questions can be sent to info@velonoxlabs.com.
Last updated: September 8, 2026.
BlindGM is designed to collect very little about its players. There are no accounts, logins or mailing lists, and we do not maintain individual player profiles.
Your play history
Your play history is stored in your browser, not in BlindGM's database. It includes the puzzles you have played, your choices, the crowd result at the time you answered, the dates and your streak.
Backup & restore turns that history into a code you can save yourself. The code is created on your device and does not pass through our servers.
If you clear your browser data or switch devices without restoring a backup, we cannot recover your history, because we do not have a copy.
Information we collect
When you answer a puzzle, BlindGM receives the puzzle, your choice, and whether you were playing today's puzzle or one from the archive. This updates aggregate totals. We do not store an individual history of your submissions.
The same request carries three anonymous figures, used to measure whether players come back: the week you first played, a range for how many days you have played in total (1, 2-3, 4-7, 8-14, 15-30 or 31+), and whether you played the day before. At most one such line is sent per device per day. They contain no account ID or other persistent player identifier, and they are added to counts rather than stored as individual submissions.
Beyond that we keep aggregate measures of how the game is used: page and puzzle views, answer and crowd totals, reveal and sharing activity, archive usage, and how many local play histories were new or returning on a given day. None of it is used to build individual player profiles.
Analytics and technical information
BlindGM uses Vercel Web Analytics to measure site usage. It can record pages viewed, game interactions, the site you arrived from, approximate location, device type, operating system and browser.
It does not use cookies, and it does not track BlindGM visitors across unrelated websites. Visitors are counted using a hash derived from the incoming request, which is discarded after 24 hours. Analytics reporting covers the previous 12 months.
Like any website, our hosting provider receives your IP address when your browser connects to BlindGM. It may be used for security, rate limiting, and the approximate location described above. We do not store your IP address in the BlindGM database and we do not attach it to your answers.
Cookies and local storage
BlindGM does not currently set cookies. We use your browser's local storage to save your play history and game state; clearing the site's stored data removes it. The history itself is not sent to our servers, and the only figures derived from it that leave your device are the three described under Information we collect.
Advertising and sponsors
BlindGM does not use ad networks or programmatic advertising. We do not create advertising profiles, and we do not sell or share information about players with advertisers or data brokers.
Some puzzles carry a sponsor's mark linking to the sponsor's own site. BlindGM may count that a sponsor link was clicked and which sponsor it was; it does not record who clicked. Sponsors receive counts and nothing else, so they get no play histories and no profiles. If you follow the link, that site's privacy practices apply rather than ours.
Service providers
BlindGM uses Vercel for website hosting and analytics, and Supabase for database infrastructure. These providers may process or store information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws.
Retention and security
The aggregate totals described above are kept indefinitely, and each month's figures are frozen as a permanent record of how the game has been used over time. These records consist of aggregate counts rather than individual player histories. Analytics reporting, as noted above, covers the previous 12 months.
We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the limited information BlindGM processes, including encrypted connections and a database that is not reachable from the browser.
Children
BlindGM is a general-audience game and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access or correct personal information an organization holds about you.
Because BlindGM has no accounts and no identifiable player profiles, we generally cannot connect our aggregate records to a particular visitor. Your own play history is in your browser, where you can export it through Backup & restore or remove it by clearing the site's stored data. Requests and questions can be sent to info@velonoxlabs.com.
You may also contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia or, where applicable, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes
If BlindGM's privacy practices change, this page will be updated and the date above changed with it.
